I’m Segun, the Creative Director and Lead Photographer at Punctual Lens Imagery®.
For eight years, I have been obsessed with a single pursuit: the difference between a “picture” and a “statement”. We live in a world flooded with disposable images. My work is the antidote to that noise. I operate at the intersection of documentary truth and cinematic scale, striking a deliberate balance between raw, unscripted reality and the high-contrast aesthetics.
I believe in clarity. When you step in front of my lens, my job is to bridge the gap between how the world sees you and the protagonist you actually are.
My visual style is heavily influenced by my life outside the studio and based on 5 core values.
The Historian: I am an avid consumer of history documentaries. This isn’t just a pastime; it has taught me that every great figure has a narrative. I bring that sense of weight and importance to every portrait I take.
The Curator: I have a relentless appreciation for high-end design and craftsmanship, whether it’s architecture, fashion, or technology. I study the things that are built to last so I can create images that do the same.
The Explorer: You will usually find me exploring music off the usual path, and hunting for inspiration in the little things around me
The Standard: I have a zero-tolerance policy for mediocrity and an even stricter policy for bad Jollof rice. (It has to be hot & spicy, or it doesn’t count).
The Experience: Clients often say that working with me feels like a collaboration. I am not here to just “take your photo.” I am here to translate your character into a visual asset that stands the test of time.
